Что в вольном переводе означает - кончайте вестись на рекламу и тратить бабки на всякую ненужную дребедень. Мы убеждены (спасибо рекламе, я полагаю), что обладание теми или иными вещами сделает нас счастливыми, но чаще всего это совсем не так.

Короче говоря, тут помимо языкознания еще и хвилософия в полный рост. И правда, смерть рекламе, война накопительству.

В свете шестидневной рабочей недели, состояния "все досталонах" и, возможно, наступления кризиса среднего возраста (он у женщин вообще бывает, а?) все более привлекательной кажется мысль все-таки махнуть в Таиланд.

Тем более что и жизнь подкидывает намеки. Издательство Macmillan выпустило маленькую такую карманную книжицу Words of the Year, где приведены английские новообразования. И что же я вижу на букву "р"?
